Artist's Comments

Storm Warning by Pamela Morris 30 x 40 inches, oil on canvas. Completed June 2006.

The model is my maternal grandmother, and the location is Clarke House in Orange Park, modified a bit for my purposes.

I had a deliberate anxiety I was trying to express in this piece, but I like knowing what others read in it, so I'd rather not say what my anxiety was at the time.

Amazing work - way underpriced! Thanks for the favs
Thank you for the compliments. Underpriced is always a matter of relativity. I'm not well-established and that factors into the price quite a bit.

Wonderful! By the title and the expression I imagine that someone has been diagnosed with something terrible??

I suppose it means what you see it to mean. I intended her to portray a particular anxiety for me, however, that has nothing to do with a disease. And I wonder if my mentioning what that anxiety was would void its individual meaning for anyone else who sees it.
